Cristiano Ronaldo to Light Up World Cup 2010 Finals

When Cristiano Ronaldo finally left Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid, many questioned if the desire to succeed still burned brightly in the young Portuguese footballer. Afterall, Ronaldo had won practically every trophy there was to be won with the English champions. From domestic titles to European trophies, the best decoration dreamt of by every young player had already decorated his trophy cabinet when he jetted off for Spain. During his arrival and subsequent presentation to the adoring fans at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, Ronaldo was also put through his paces that suggested that the celebrity glitz and high profile glamour was more important to both player and club than success on the pitch. The early months of his Spanish career was also a testing time physically as he suffered injuries that put him out for long periods. There were also subsequent brushes with the sport’s laws that saw him suspended for enough games to make the results matter. Despite these probl...

Characteristics and Uses of Liquid Chalk Markers

What are liquid chalk markers? They are a unique and fun way to write on multiple non-porous surfaces like windows, mirrors, glass, plastic, (however, not chalkboard painted surfaces or porous surfaces), whiteboards, LED boards and more. What do they contain? Liquid chalk markers contain a liquid comprising water, resin, and pigment, which writes like a marker, but when it dries, it looks like chalk. But the best is that it writes smoother than chalk and there’s no dust like chalk. There are sets of four, six, eight, nine and ten liquid chalk markers that include a variety of bright neon colors: black, brown, red, orange, pink, yellow, green, blue, purple and white. Characteristics of these fantastic markers • They are completely dust free so they can be used for allergy and asthma sufferers. • They can have different size nibs from 2 mm to 15 mm. The nib may be a bullet, chisel or reversible. What does mean a reversible tip? That you can use both chisel or bullet tip in...

Wine Review - River Bench Pinot Noir '06

I need to take my hat off to those in the industry like us who do wine writing. Especially those who can do numerous wine tastings and then give a wine a rating. I think the term is super taster. I am in no way knocking that person, but I have seen some tastings where a person does 30, 40 or 50 wines and then gives them a rating, again our hats off to you. I say all this because we receive samples from wineries and do not sample all their wines at one time in one sitting. With that said it does take us longer to get through all the wines sent to us, we are not complaining in the least. We attempt to mix the wine up and not do all one winery rating at a time. We have chosen to enjoy each wine that is sent to us with a meal or a special occasion. We figure the winery or importer went through the trouble to send us wine, the least we can do is give it a fair tasting. To us that means one wine, one meal, one rating. We decanted this 06 Pinot for almost an hour and began our tasting. The co...

Interior Design Ideas For Connecting Spaces

The arteries of your home, connecting spaces should be awarded all the respect normally given to individual rooms. They not only greet you but also serve to lure you into the rooms beyond. The hall, stairs, landings and corridors of a house have a pivotal role to play and it is through the framework they form that you will view all the other rooms. Often characterized by their mean proportions, irregular shape and lack of light, these areas require very careful attention if they are to become the convenient welcoming spaces they should be. The designer’s first consideration should be the actual structure enclosing the space. By highlighting any features that are perfectly proportioned or well balanced, you can bring a sense of symmetry to what otherwise is often a rather disorganized area. Perhaps the floor has a regular outline: this could be emphasized by giving the chosen floor treatment a border in a contrasting color. Alternatively, if the ceiling height is pleasing, an attra...

How To Play A High Sky

Eventually, while playing day baseball games, you’ll encounter what is known as a “High Sky” which essentially means the sky is totally blue and void of clouds. This may at first seem to be ideal playing conditions, but without realizing it, clouds serve as a depth perception aid when tracking a high fly ball and without them it increases the difficulty of estimating distance. A “High Sky” also presents a glare problem, which you may not realize until the ball is hit high in the air and suddenly you have difficulty seeing the ball. You’d also surmise the white ball would be more clearly defined against a blue background, but we’re not talking dark blue, we’re talking very light blue with a hint of glare thrown in for good measure. Ok, we’ve identified what a “High Sky” is and the problems it presents for an outfielder, more so than an infielder, because the outfielder is most likely to be by himself too far away from othe...
